Countdown: Relocation
Hurry scurry.
The floor polishers came and went.
Delivery-men came and went.
Time came and went.
The geomancer will be over tomorrow morning for to perform the "rites" for moving in!
It's only the tenth day of our getting our keys and it appears that we're almost prepared by now.
E.F.F.I.C.I.E.N.T.
Then again, the washing machine and sofa's not delivered yet, and we've yet to purchase our wardrobe.
It's quite a headache.
The one that can fit into the room cannot fit my needs and the one that fits my needs cannot fit into the room. Bah.
In any case, I'm off to bed now.
We've got a LONG day ahead.
G'nite folks...

Paintwork: Choosing the Colors
These are the few colors we shortlisted (Nippon Paint's Easy Wash series) after yesterday's appointment.
We scurried over to Self-fix at Century Square to view the actual colors after I knocked off.
In the end, we chose Soft Blue (not in picture) created using Nippon Paint Colour Creations. Which means if you can bring along any items of your ideal color and they will re-create a paint of the same color using their equipment. Nice.
So for most of our house, namely the master bedroom, common room and part of the living room, Soft Blue will be the main color. Whereas, the kitchen will remain in the pale-reddish tones which happen to be my auspicious colors.
And today, while I'm at work, Mr Ma and gang will start on the paintwork.
Whoopie.

Geomancy Appointment #1
Had our first appointment with the geomancer 梁师傅 earlier on.
He gave us advice on:
- the various parts of our house where to (and not to) position which items
- the suitable colors to for the individuals rooms/areas
- the appropriate lighting colors
- the deity to worship (if we want to), and the right position to place the altar
- the procedures for moving-in once we are done with the renovation/paintwork
Apart from these, he gave us a reading on:
- the jobs that are suitable for each of us
- the elements of our noblemen
Last but not least, he added that we should not prevent or control the births. And if things go well, we will have at least 3 children.
Recalls the results of the FB quiz "How many kids will you have?"
*squirms uncomfortably*

Keys to a new phase
alas, we will be collecting our keys in about 6 hours' time.
we received the notification on Wednesday, and hurriedly went for the second inspection.
the house is stripped down to the bare details and looks extremely spacious.
but not for long - for some strange reason i feel quite happy saying this. hoho!
we've made arrangements for the geomancer to come by on Saturday to view and "analyze", so we won't be entering the house till then.
afterwards, mr ma'll be starting the paintworks on Sunday, and i'll pop by after work to clean up a bit.
omg, it doesn't feel like it's real.
in any case, some pictures (actually only two) taken during the visit.

the living room
pardon the quality coz it was taken using my cellphone

the kitchen
since there isn't any built-in stove, we got ourselves a dual-hob induction cooker instead of the traditional gas-hob
