Fitting the Theme: Perfect throw pillows

i think these will match our existing drawers...

The backstory:
Although needlework had a resurgence in the 1970s, and then again around 2000, Adler modernized the medium in 2005 by infusing his throw pillows with what he calls "Palm Beach style": punchy colors and geometric designs.

What design pros say:

  • "Adler is so well-known that having one of his pillows has its own cachet," says Lisa S. Roberts, an antiques connoisseur in Philadelphia. "In 25 years, they'll be collectible, because they're from his original line."
  • Bursting with texture and graphic oomph, these handmade Bargello pillows from designer Adler get their name from a type of needlework that produces a zigzagging pattern of long stitches.
To buy: $110 (Diamonds) to $145 (Flame), jonathanadler.com

Mio V2 Wallpaper

Stylish. Inexpensive. Eco-friendly. There's lots to love about these incredibly light molded tiles made from recycled paper. Each measures one square foot. The backing is nonstick, so use a wall adhesive, such as 3M Command Poster Strips (about $3 at office-supply stores), which work on most surfaces. Place adhesive on each corner and press each tile firmly onto the wall. Dust to keep clean. Remove by peeling from the corners.

To buy: $32 for a set of 12,mioculture.com. Two three-dimensional patterns are available in orange, white, natural, or lime.

lovely, ain't it.
